Greenville Chautauqua (pronounced “Shuh-TALK-wa”), celebrating its 20th season, has grown from a one-week program to year-long programmatic activities in Greenville, Asheville, Spartanburg and Brevard.  Their scholarship based, oral history performances bring people and events to life through interactive theater and compelling discussion aimed at stimulating critical thinking. Founded by Caroline McIntyre, Sally Potosky and George Frein, Greenville Chautauqua’s peformances have always been free, fun and family friendly. They lead audiences in celebrating the diversity of our culture through a variety of voices from the past…because history belongs to everyone.
