After the War is Over

USC Beaufort will present a special program on the topic of veteran experiences on April 2, 2015. “After the War is Over” will feature veteran Jerrod Fields, recipient of the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. SC Humanities supported this program with a Mini Grant in February 2015.

Jerrod Fields is a veteran of the Wars on Terror in both Iraq and Afghanistan and a Paralympian. In his presentation, he will talk about the transition period a veteran faces when returning to civilian life.

The event will take place on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at USC Beaufort’s Hilton Head Gateway Campus. The local veteran and military communities in Beaufort County will be invited to attend the “After the War is Over” event, and a dialogue and discussion period will take place following the lecture.
