The Summerville orchestra will also host lectures from July – September 2024 that will highlight the transformation of the orchestra. Michelle Bessen, the Summerville Orchestra patron relations coordinator and storyteller extraordinaire, will speak on “20 Years Strong: The Story of the Summerville Orchestra!” Bessen has done a deep dive into the archives, interviewed major players in the Summerville Orchestra’s history and pieced together a compelling story of the little orchestra that could!
