March quilting programs continue with lecture on Feed Sack Fabrics

“Repair, reuse, make do, and don’t throw anything away” was a common motto during the Great Depression. This way of thinking applied to many aspects of life, including the creation and use of textiles. Join us on Tuesday, March 16th at 1 pm as we discuss how feed and flour sacks were reused to make a variety of items around the house, including quilts, clothing and more.
The program will be held at the Horry County Museum located at 805 Main Street, Conway SC and is free and open to the public; seating will be available. For more information, call 843-915-5320 or email To view a full list of programs and events at the Museum, visit
