Filmmaker and artist Sam Koji Hale introduces workshop participants to Paperclay, his choice in puppet-making material. Using puppets from his award-winning film Yamasong and others, Sam will teach participants how to sculpt puppet heads for characters approx 18-20″ tall. He will also show how to combine Paperclay with other materials, like papier-mache. Sam will also present behind-the-scenes footage and a slideshow on how he created Yamasong.
