Table Talk – Conversation with Cindi Boiter, Exhibit Curator

The Morris Center for Lowcountry Heritage will present “The Supper Table,” a unique exhibit about South Carolina women and their impact on the state from July 9 – December 31, 2022. SC Humanities supported the collateral programs with a Mini Grant.
Designed by The Jasper Project in Columbia, “The Supper Table” consists of an actual physical table with artistic installations of place settings, drawings of the 12 featured South Carolina women, as well as films and written pieces. The featured women are: Mary McLeod Bethune, Alice Childress, Septima Clark, Mathilda Evans, Althea Gibson, Angelina and Sarah Grimke, Eartha Kitt, Sarah Leverette, Julia Peterkin, Eliza Lucas Pinckney, Modjeska Monteith Simkins, and Elizabeth Evelyn Wright.
