The Bamberg County Hometown Teams Committee will present a special Tailgating and Community Softball Game on Saturday, March 28, 2015 as part of their tour of the traveling Smithsonian exhibit Hometown Teams: How Sports Shape America.

County-wide Softball Game and Tailgating, Featuring County Firefighters
Location: Ness Sports Complex, Bamberg, SC
Hours:
10:00 AM – Tailgating Competition Contestants may enter, set up, and begin to cook.
1:30 PM – Gates Open and Peoples’ Choice and Food Judging Begins
3:00 — The Bamberg County Fire Service members will face each other in a hotly contested match. Come cheer your favorite fire fighters to victory! Flame Throwers Vs. Fire Devils
You may win bragging rights when the judges award you the Finest Food Trophy for your ‘Best in the World Burgers’ or ‘Champion Chicken,’ or you may take home a Peoples’ Choice Award as the ‘Fan Favorite’ (for sporting the most loyal attire), ‘Team Loyalty’ (for creating the tailgating that shows the best devotion (and most tents, chairs, coolers, tableware, etc.) to your team, or ‘Top Tailgater’ for the best overall tailgating presentation.
