The Humanities CouncilSC is now South Carolina Humanities!
Following months of research, discussion, and careful deliberation, the Board of Directors of this organization has formally adopted a new name: South Carolina Humanities. This shorter, updated moniker places more emphasis on South Carolina and will make it easier for our partners and supporters to know who we are.
Along with the name change, SC Humanities has worked to create a new logo and identity that we will be rolling out in the coming months. The website already reflects the new logo and colors in many places, and additional updates will be made soon. Grantees and partners can find the new logos in a variety of formats on our Grantee Support page.
The Board and staff of SC Humanities looks forward to using our new identity and logo while maintaining the same high level of support for public humanities in South Carolina for which we have always been recognized.
