Revolutionary War Day

The South Carolina Confederate Relic Room and Military Museum will commemorate the state’s historic role in the Revolutionary War with the annual Revolutionary War Day event on Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. The event is intended for visitors of all ages. SC Humanities supported this project with a Mini Grant.

As celebrated as the battles of Bunker Hill and Yorktown deservedly are, many of the battles during the Revolutionary War took place right here in South Carolina – at places such as Ninety Six, Sullivan’s Island, Camden, Kings Mountain, and Cowpens. The fighting produced heroes whose names we still recall, such as the Fighting Gamecock, Thomas Sumter, and the Swamp Fox, Francis Marion. The Revolutionary War Day engages South Carolinians in learning about the rich Revolutionary War History of South Carolina.

The event will take place on Saturday, March 29 at the SC Confederate Relic Room and Military Museum, located at 301 Gervais St, Columbia, SC 29201.

The schedule of activities is:
