December 2016 marks the 225th anniversary of the Bill of Rights. South Carolina Humanities, in partnership with the National Archives and the Federation of State Humanities Councils, is making a unique pop-up kiosk exhibit about the Bill of Rights available to cultural organizations around South Carolina. Fifteen venues will host the exhibit starting on December 15, 2016, and many will keep the exhibit up through the end of January.

Spotlighting one of the most remarkable periods in American history, the pop-up exhibit contains simple messages conveying the importance of the Bill of Rights, its history and implementation, and its impact today.
Some copies of the exhibit will continue to travel to another communities in January and February. More details about this second wave of host venues will be added to this story soon.
The mission of SC Humanities is to enrich the cultural and intellectual lives of all South Carolinians. Established in 1973, this 501(c) 3 organization is governed by a volunteer 23-member Board of Directors comprised of community leaders from throughout the state. It presents and/or supports literary initiatives, lectures, exhibits, festivals, publications, oral history projects, videos and other humanities-based experiences that directly or indirectly reach more than 250,000 citizens annually.
