The Franklin G. Burroughs and Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum in Myrtle Beach will present a weekly cultural lecture series in July and August 2012 in support of the exhibitions Kimono: Art, Fashion, and Society and At First Light: The Katagami Sculpture of Jennifer Falck Linssen. SC Humanities supported this project with a Major Grant in February 2012.
The “Kimono Inspired: Beauty and Culture of Japan Lecture Series” will include six weekly programs that are free and open to the public; however, pre-registration is required. The programs include:
