Why should I support SC Humanities?
The humanities are how we understand ourselves and our world and how we communicate that understanding to others. South Carolina Humanities funds, promotes, counsels, and coordinates all manner of thoughtful (and thought-provoking) endeavors—exhibits, documentaries, discussion forums, research, planning, workshops, dramatizations, lectures, and on and on—that pertain to the humanities.
SC Humanities receives funding from the National Endowment for the Humanities as well as individual, corporate, foundation, and institutional contributors. We receive no support from the state of South Carolina and are not a state agency. To fulfill our commitments to the people of South Carolina and to meet the demand for new and diverse offerings statewide, please consider becoming a partner in the work of SC Humanities by making a contribution today.
