Richland Library will present an encore viewing of “Let’s Talk Race: A Conversation with Dr. Ibram X. Kendi” on Sunday, August 23 from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. The program is free and open to the public, but preregistration is required. SC Humanities supported this program with a Fast Track Literary Grant.
Originally pre-recorded on Wednesday, August 19, the online program features Dr. Kendi discussing current race relations and how to be an antiracist in America with University of South Carolina’s Augusta Baker Endowed Chair, Dr. Nicole Cooke.
Dr. Ibram X. Kendi is a Guggenheim Fellow, New York Times Bestselling author, historian, and a scholar of race and discriminatory policy in America. His books include Stamped from the Beginning: The Definitive History of Racist Ideas in America, winner of the 2016 National Book Award for Nonfiction, and How to be an Antiracist, among others.
