South Carolina ETV will give special statewide preview screenings of Ken Burns’ monumental new documentary series The War in early September. The War, an epic 14-hour documentary that explores the history and horror of the Second World War from an American perspective, will air in its entirety on SCETV from September 23 – October 2.
Eight one-hour preview screenings will be held across the state from September 12 – September 20th. The free and open to the public screenings are sponsored in part by SC Humanities and are offered around the state as part of ETV’s commitment to public service. On September 13, the preview will be screened at Newberry Opera House as part of the 2007 South Carolina Humanities Festival, a program of SC Humanities.
