Be Revolutionary: Meet the Funders – Collaborative Grant Writing Workshop

A collaborative group of cultural funding organizations will offer a free workshop on grants and funding, with an emphasis on funding for Revolutionary War programs, on Thursday, August 17, 2023 in Moncks Corner. SC Humanities will join with the SC American Revolution Sestercentennial Commission (SC250), the SC Department of Archives and History, the SC Arts Commission, and SC Parks, Recreation, and Tourism for this workshop.

Members of the general public are invited to participate in the workshop. Each cultural organization will present information about what grants they have available, who can apply, best practices for applications, and more. Register here!

“The purposes of this unique collaborative Meet the Funders event are to (1) create funding pathways for cultural tourism and Rev War education in Berkeley County and regionally, (2) increase awareness of available State and County funding opportunities for county and regional history, arts and culture-based entities, and (3) provide technical grant-writing assistance and access to funders for nonprofits and the public.  Target populations are Berkeley and other County 250 Committees and their member organizations, grant-writers generally, and the general public interested in understanding, promoting and preserving arts, culture, and history in general and of the Revolutionary War period specifically.” – Berkeley County 250
