UofSC annual Fall Literary Festival concludes Oct. 28 with author George Singleton

The University of South Carolina concludes its twenty-first annual Fall Literary Festival Wednesday, Oct. 28 with George Singleton, the final of three free, virtual events with celebrated poets and authors.

Singleton will read beginning at 7 p.m.

Raised in South Carolina, Singleton has published nine story collections, two novels, a book of writing advice and numerous print articles. His work has been anthologized ten times in New Stories from the South: The Year’s Best. He has received a Pushcart Prize, a Guggenheim fellowship, and the Corrington Award for Literary Excellence.

Nikky Finney will read Oct. 14 and Kelly Starling Lyons will read Oct. 21.

The Fall Literary Festival, hosted by University Libraries and the Department of English, has brought more than 60 award-winning authors to campus for readings, book signings and other events – all free and open to the public.
